This is a Test

Ok, there was a "glitch" with FSO.  The truth is, you rarely need the CM's for the mundane events.  Where you really need us is to fix problems on the fly.  An entire team reset the arena in record time.  Sorry for the problem but  to those who stepped up to fix it.  It was still a GREAT FSO.  And now... the dancing bananas

Concur and <S> the support from the CM's to get the game up and running again quickly.  I know the AXIS numbers were reduced by 30 - 40 pilots on round 2 and that some serious effects on some of the strike packages as we lost ordnance carring planes.  And some defenses were very low.  I know the GV battle was over quick as more than half of the AXIS GV guys weren't back in for the second round.

So what transpired was fighter engagements at the different bases.  I know the squads up north had some fun and saw a good deal of action in and around A65.  Will be interesting to see the points from this one.

I appreciate all of the AXIS squads and personnel that came back in for round 2 <S>

Well it made it interesting.  We lost 2 to the reset.  But that's life and we still had a good time.  Thanks for all your efforts and work.  II/JG27.

Lost 6 or 7 pilots on the reset.

This wouldnt be the first time the arena was reset because of a base being taken with GV's.

Good work CM's on getting it together after the reset. :salute

Just curious, who was to attack A22? Was kind of boring scouting for 2 hours.

Quiet night for our squad.
Flew around 22 waiting for an attack that never came. I gather they were taken out prior to reaching 22. After an hour 20 or so we called it a night.

Most exciting part of the night for me was dealing with the reset.  :O

68Lurch and some other CM's got it up and running again in record time. I know 68Lurch was kicking himself, but those things happen and I told him so.
I appreciated everyone's patience. I received multiple PM's in game and could not reply to most, but everyone was supportive and encouraging. I thank you guys for that.
Our FSO community, veterans, and its C.O.'s are top notch.

JG2 was escort into a22 with JV44 in JU88s.

Not as many pilots came back after the reset so we where short pilots. Our bombers had light numbers also. I lost over half my squad. So we where only 6 pilots.

The JU88s got jumped about 55 to 60 mile's north of a22 by seafires.
We engaged and lost couple pilots in the engagement.

JG2 3-4 pilots left had got separated at the engagement and headed south to a22 even though we had no buffs.
There was about 15 hurricanes at about 25k and a couple squads of spits over 22 . No one wanted to come down and play, seems like they just held the alt. So since we were grossly out numbered  we returned to base.

CC, The Mongrels were in the Hurri's and were waiting for the buffs. AK's were watching the fighters and had it
under control. Thanks for the info. It happens.       :salute

BTW, u guys had the alt.  We were 25k max when we saw yas.  I zoomed 20 27-28K to match yas.  Then u guys took off to the SW.  I figured u guys were drawing us away from the buffs so I ordered the AK's to disengage and return to our patrol.  This happened 3 times.  When the 3rd time came around, I got Assi to make a mistake and try to out run me in a dive.  Shot him down 600+ out.  That was pretty much the last time I saw u 3 109's.

VF15 lost 1.  Our scouts found the strike package for CV50 the first time.  Then the map got reset during that engagement.  The 2nd time, we spread our search out further thinking the 110s would try a different approach.

I found a 110 and pursued.  We dove to the deck and I ran into a swarm of them to my front right quarter.  I was killed, hook line and, sinker but we were able to get the rest o fthe squad to their location and engage.

CV50 never got hit before T plus 60.

Was fun.  I died quickly.  Tried like heck to not give the angle shot I did but I got greedy going after the one I started following.  Big dumb, stupid mistake!!!

 :bhead

Fun night over all and really well fixed by the CMs.

I understand, we probably should have just landed after we lost the buffs and called it a night anyways.
