So my life has been a bucket of compost of late and not the good sort either.
I'm a Kiwi and live in the land of my origin, New Zealand.
When all the bad stuff started I got a phone call from someone whose company I've enjoyed for years even though I've never "met" him face to face.
An ex-squaddy had let him know that things had gone bad for us and he rang to make sure we were OK and to commiserate and sympathise.
Most of all he validated our own experience and the fact that we know we're right and doing the right thing, something no one else, not family, not friends have actually done.
In the meantime we've won step one of our battle against corporate America (long story, best not to ask) and things are looking up.
Last night I get another Message From America whilst on the train, on the way home.
Lew rang again.
You're a special chap and I hope everyone here on Aces High has some idea of what a fantastic person you are. I'm not even trying to get into your fishnets, honest.
Everyone give Lew a special <S> from me when you get the chance. I probably won't be flying for another couple of weeks, not until things have settled down and I'd really appreciate you folks making that Lew fella feel a bit special.
Thanks in advance.
