Buy a used Polaris wheeler and you'll be happy. Don't forget a helmet.

I don't want a four wheeler, they aren't safe, or practical for road use.

some resource officer you have there, you plan on having a licensed adult with you while driving it with a learners permit, that is the law ya know, where does he get off saying its ok as long as theres no cars on the road, better ask a real officer, check with the dealer to see if its street legal, most likely its not

This is an opportunity for you to do something that should serve you well in life or it could lead you astray.  The cool thing is it really depends on you and you get to use a little judgment.

Ask yourself:

"Does that seem right?"

I ask you.  Does that seem right?  Feel free to use logic, follow your instinct, listen to your intuition or trust in the force if it helps you but I'd really like to hear you make an argument for it being a good idea.  As an exercise, make an argument for it being a bad idea.  Objecitvely look at the facts and make a decision based on said facts, your experience and what you think is right.

Is driving your go-kart on public roads a good idea or a bad idea?  Why?  Why not?

To get you started on this decision I'd offer you to look into legalities as to what constitutes an automobile, farm equipment, inquire as to why "street legal" is a phrase in common usage and the eligibility and legality requirements for the aforementioned words and phrases.  Good luck.

once again in simple terms...check... with... your... state... department... of... motor... vehicles...

or have your parents find out for you...there are requirements to be considered "street legal" which neither that go kart or an atv meet.

Here in Texas you can get tages for a side by side. All the standard vehicle requirements apply. License, insurance, inspection, etc.

Now the question of safety....... they are nowhere as safe as a car on the road.

Toll Free: 1-888-901-BIKES, 1-888-901-2453

Here call them yourself, how it was expalined to me is that when the large motorcycle companies , honda, yamaha, they have patents on there motor or frame designs ect., when the patent expires other compainies copy there work  Motors, Frames, whatever else, and they manufacture them in china and sell them for a 1/4 of what the major names brands sell for and a 1/3 of the quality and reliablity, just call them and ask questions, you dont want to spend your hard earned cash on a pile of junk, example  $499 for a 125cc bike on there site when a Yamaha 125yz goes for over 6 grand, just beware is all im saying, and remember these words, " you get what you pay for "

http://www.motorcyclistonline.com/motorcycles/index.html  here check this link out there might be some info you might want

Um China does not wait for patents to expire.  They just steal / make it anyway.
