We have cool new animated troops. Guess what? I want to see more of them, doing more than falling in a chute or running 2 feet to the maproom.
Give troops a scaled down ability to resupply friendly fields (other than the home field - the same as field supplies do now).
Why??
In most serious base capture attempts, folks are spammed to bring in troops. The result is multiple troop carriers, but only one carrier can capture the town. Why not allow the remaining troops go to the field and help repair the base faster?
How??
Option 1: Drop troops on friendly field away from their home field (where they lifted from) animated troop runs to indestructible and poof turns to sawdust (like supply boxes implode). Each troop that makes it to the indestructible reduces 1 minute in downtime. 10 troops 10 minutes reduced.
Option 2: Cargo is mixed in the carrier. More than enough room for 10 troopers and one box of supplies on board. In order for supplies to be used now, the troopers need to land to do the "rebuilding". For each trooper that gets injured, one less minute of downtime recovered. Even for vehicle supplies, a trooper has to be available. So no more magic boxes, a mechanic (trooper) is busting his knuckles to get your track back on your Sherman. Troops will make for more obvious targets so spawn camping with loads of supplies will do them no good if a friendly mechanic is not near to turn a wrench.
