how to add custom resolution in Aces High (Eyefinity)
« on: March 15, 2011, 10:05:21 PM »
Hello,

I am trying to add a custom resolution with my 2 monitors since my 3rd one will not get here till Friday. Both of my monitors are 1920x1200 so its set at 3840x1200.  I try to start Aces high but crashes if i goto video settings and change the resolution.

Thanks,
Bash

video8.cfg

Edit with notepad.

Should work, but you're on your own.
Easy in-game again.
Since Tour 19 - 2001

The dropdown list of resolutions shows what the video card will support.  We get the list from the video card.  If the resolution is not listed, you risk damage to the video card or the monitors as the video card does not have the timing signals to deal with a resolution it does not know about.

When you edit the video8.cfg to alter the resolution to one not listed, the side effects can be wide ranging.

Whatever screen resolution you set in Windows should show in the drop down menu in the AH video settings. There is no need to manually change the video config file.
