Perk Refund
« on: March 17, 2011, 09:23:24 PM »
Last night we were capturing a port/cv and an enemy 262 just happened to have the sunken carrier respawn directly under it and immediately vaporized the jet.

I think it was bunnies, but regardless I think that guy deserves a refund.

If I had a gun with 3 bullets and I was locked in a room with Bin Laden, Hitler, Saddam and Zipp...  I would shoot Zipp 3 times.

If he gets his refund, then I want all the perks I lost when I had to close my account
some time back. Those, and all the perks I've lost flying perk rides.

That's the risk you take flying perk planes. If it was Bunnies I'm sure he can afford another 262, and another.

That's actually the primary reason I kept my account open when I left the game for a few months.  Funny thing is, I only have a few thousand of each category, not nearly as many as you had and I hardly ever fly perked planes.  I have more fun in planes like the C205 or the 109F.  Sure I'll up a C-Hog once in awhile if I am forced to fly from a CV.  Or maybe a 262 on a whim.  I'm honestly not sure why I ever cared about my perkies.

I guess it is simple human nature not want to lose something you earned, even if you will never use them anyway.

I guess it is nice to know I can up any plane in the set quite a few times before I ever have to think about the perk cost.

A stroke of bad luck for sure.  Chalk it up as such and move on.  No need to implement a refund system in any sense.

Or HiTech could sell perks?  Say have an option to purchase xxxx amount of perks for xx amount of dollars.  Would generate additional revenue for them and overall see more perked rides in the MA....
