I started working on a new control method for tanks last week. It will be similar to the control system in WoT in that movement will be controlled via aswd from any position.
The new system will account for the different turning abilities of wheeled and tracked vehicles including tanks that could have the tracks turn opposite directions.
Main gun control will be available from the commanders position.
We will also be redoing sights to match the real world counterparts.
I have not played much yet with optic clarity, but I have a few ideas to see how they work.

I have to say this type of information from HTC really keeps my optimism high. If AH is able to implement a more accurate movement model of each gv that is going to open up a whole new realm in AH. I can see StuG's, Hetzers, Su-100's, and a number of other turret-less gv's in AH's future.

Also, I REALLY wish and hope that HTC is able to model realistic tank sights. Give the German optics their due. I've always cursed that T34/85 that was able to sit out at 2800 yards and match my Tiger or Panther's accuracy shot for shot when in reality the odds of Soviet optics being able to see that far in a clear manner were slim. Plus, the 5X zoom of the Tiger and Panther's should account for something vs the 2.5 zoom of the T34. Looking through Soviet optics was probably like looking though a glass of tea when compared to German optics. Of course, I cant find any actual examples to prove that, but the testimony is there. I saw a US Army document grading tank optics of WWII, and it put the Germans on top and themselves and Soviets on the bottom. British and Japanese were in between somewhere.
