A Special Thanks
« on: March 20, 2011, 06:29:14 AM »
Thanks to the many people who have offered to send supplies and even their homes if I needed a place to go. I'm very grateful for your PM's, emails and comments when I've logged in to the game.

We're OK right now.

I'm north of Tokyo, about 90 miles south of the nuclear facility in the news - right on the very edge of the major damage from the quake and tsunami. We're very lucky, unlike the approximately 20,000 dead and missing, and the hundreds of thousands of families who lost everything.

We aren't out of the woods yet. One reactor is still in serious trouble and they may have to release some pressure by venting directly from the containment vessel, not through the suppression pool, which would release about 10 times more radiation than the current amount. The facility may have to evacuated when they do it. We'll see. I'll be fine here, though.

I'm stuck at home for awhile until the gas stations start getting deliveries again in about a week, so I might play a little Aces High. I won't be too upset if something in the game doesn't go exactly like I hoped it would. ;)

Thanks for your offers of help. <S>

Stay safe.

And not to make light (too much) of you playing AH - you're gonna be the glowing plane, right?

Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
