2011 ASFC Forestry Conclave
« on: March 20, 2011, 08:30:52 PM »
This past weekend the 54th ASFC Forestry Conclave was held down in Athens, GA. For those of you who don't know, its a collegiate sporting competition based on a variety of common timber industry practices. To put it simply, its the Olympics of the Natural Resource world. Students compete in a variety of activities ranging from Physical events like Log Birling, Crosscut, and Pole Felling to Technical events such as Pole Classification, DBH Estimation and Dendrology.

15 Schools from the southern region of the US competed in the event, including: Alabama A&M, Auburn, Clemson, LA Tech, LSU, Miss State, NC State, Stephen F. Austin, Texas A&M, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Tennessee, VA Tech and Arkansas-Monticello (the Winner).

On the off-chance, was anybody from the AH community there?
