Massive bomber mayhem:

Lots of classic matchups:

Large-scale engagements (notice the number of black specks . . .):

And lots of fun!

Please join us for the next scenario.  We'd love to have you fly with us in scenarios!

If only duck hunting were so easy. Would be great to know when where and how many at any time.

Exactly.  Fencer, ROC, Guppy -- see?  Someone gets it.

I can't tell you how many times I tried to make that point with those guys during the design of Battle Over Germany.  "Not enough duck," I'd say.  They'd come back with weak excuses like "What the h*ll are you talking about?" or "Brooke, you do realize that Germany had a thing called 'RADAR', which had a significant impact on how the battles were fought, and we need to include it for any realism whatsoever?"  They made rude suggestions, rude hand gestures, and rude noises, including fake flatulence noises (and some not fake).  I tried to explain it to them, including that B-17's and B-24's have four engines, whereas a duck has effectively only one (the duck itself, by my reasoning).  Guppy said, "How about more cowbell?", but I wasn't sure where he was going with that, ducks and cowbells generally being completely different.

I gave them my plan.  It's just like Charlie Sheen said:  "Keep in mind, anytime I roll something out, my plan is the best plan in the room. And people are starting to realize that. That their plan is s–t, and my plan is gold.  Walk into my plan and they’re going to win, win, win" -- except that they didn't realize that, didn't think my plan was gold, and didn't feel like they were doing to win, win, win.  Unfortunately, while everyone knows that Charlie Sheen is a genius, or at least some sort of idiot/savant mixture the likes of which we can't even begin to fathom, no one realizes that about me (yet).

I'm going to post my plan below.  I'm fairly certain that there will be enough popular support here to force Fencer, ROC, and Guppy into giving it the serious consideration that it deserves.

Brooke's plan:  Duck Battle Over Germany

Actually, since I am a fan of Iron Chef America, I think a classier title is:  Battle Duck (Over Germany)

Order of Battle

US 8th AF
The "Ducks"
Mallards:  B-24's
Pintails:  B-17's

LW forces
"Rover":  jeeps
Hunters:  Wirbelwinds

Special rules:

-- Jeeps are to be stationed at fields that have a close spawn point to bomber fields.
-- Ack disabled at all fields.
-- Bombers may not drop bombs.
-- At start of frame, jeeps and Wirblewinds are released to launch, but bombers must stay on the ground.
-- Jeeps are to drive onto the bombers' field, tearing around and generally making a lot of noise, at which point the B-17's and B-24's are to be scared into flight (i.e., take off).
-- B-17's and B-24's are restricted to 200 ft altitude and must overfly the axis vehicle bases.
-- If a hunter is at a vehicle base that B-17's or B-24's fly over, the hunter shall shoot at them.  If not, the hunter shall wait.

I have 127 pages of design notes and references for this design, which I can provide on request, but shall not post here for the sake of brevity.

Why aren't there enough ducks for the hunters to have a chance to win?   Quit coddling the ducks!

I also have invented a new technology that I call "Dar Duck Bar".  It shows if there are ducks within a given 600-1200 square-mile area, thus allowing one to pinpoint duck location and avoid one of the major difficulties with the sport.   ;)
