scrollable chat window
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:15:48 PM »
I know the chat window can be expanded using the "tilde" key and once a line of text leaves the expanded window its gone (unless a screen shot or its filmed for later review). Wouldn't it be nice to have a scroll feature in the chat window to see what you may have missed? Just a thought.

How about the option to stream the text buffer to a text file on your local computer?  Might make for some interesting reading...

just tune all your radios onto a frequency that no one uses.

When you record your flights, all the text gets recorded as well. Which you can later read without watching the actual film.

Scrollable chat window? A fair wish. I like the idea, as I sometimes have PMs among folks in game. Sometimes it sucks when you can't scroll up to see what that person said amongst a busy country channel. At least this wish isn't asking for something stupidly retarded like controllable V1 rockets in game.

+1 :aok from me.

why have to do that, and what good would it do while you're in game? not everyone records every single sortie, having a scroll function in the text box won't force you to leave the game to see what was typed...even if it were limited in how far you could scroll back it would be better than what's available now.

As far as you can see I quoted ImADot, this response was to his wish asking to record to test to read after your flights.

Really?  When I load my .ahf file into a text editor all I see is gibberish.  When I load the film into the film viewer and see the text in the buffer, I can't copy any of it to paste it someplace else.  What if I don't want to record all the game data, just the text buffer?  What if I want to see more than just a couple lines of text at a time?

You get the idea...  ;)
