HTC thanks for making this game
« on: March 22, 2011, 12:56:03 PM »
No, I'm not brown nosing....

With all the stupid whines directed at HTC, I decided to thank them for making this stupidly addictive game that tends to consume a lot of my free time. I can't say that too many games suck up my time like this game, sometimes too well (not enough sleep, etc...).

Thanks for continually investing in this game and keeping it going despite being one of the very few left of this type. Despite some of its challenges, its fun and addictive.

I second that. I don't have a lot of time to play but love it when I can. BoG was great. I get to live my childhood dreams without having to worry about jagged flying steel.

The models are great. I'd pay more for more (remember that, HTC - for if you build it, they will buy) - and that you are capacity-limited is, in a way, a pretty good problem to have.
Some say revenge is a dish best served cold. I say it's usually best served hot, chunky, and foaming. Eventually, you will all die in my vengeance vomit firestorm.

I think the worst thing HTC ever did was attribute the 'off hours' arena to Snailman. Now, everyone is pushing their ideas in attempt to have them implemented.

Wish more people would just relax, enjoy the game and leave their suggestions in the Wishlist.

The modeling is what impresses me. Way, way back in time, I took a graduate level computer graphics class (Fortran 77, wireframe, hidden line removal algorithms, hand cranked CPUs.) It blows my mind to think about the modelling, in real time, of bullets' ballistic trajectories intersecting a spot on an aircraft.

I agree with the original poster.

After years at air warrior, warbirds, and the "stolen sim", I am loving this place.

I am kind of saddened that 99% of the arena fly only late war speed demons and I cheer when nishiz (sp?) lands a 5 kill sortie in a zero.

I would like to thank HTC for giving me a place to fly with a group of silly P38 pilots who make my day better. And for having a great community of people with various backgrounds and experiences. I think what makes AH stands out is that there is a small community of people who share their knowledge and experiences with others.

Don't forget the rest of the staff guys.  It's got to be a major team effort to put out a product that is not only this addictive but inspires tons of volunteers to put time into scenarios, events, skins, maps, etc..

But I will say a heart felt thanks to Hitech, Pyro, Rosie, Superfly, Waffle, Skuzzy, and Sudz, for making and maintaining the game that we all enjoy.

The 109?

Also, big thanks to everyone, especially Rosie who was nice enough to extend my payment time while I was between jobs.
