Dang! Good thing that ones out of the mix. Would hate to see 100lb+ Coyotes running around where I live, and they would hate to be running around where I live as well.  ;)

Just by glancing at the fur I would think wolf.  I shot a 40 lb coyote a couple years ago and it looked as big as a German Shepard.  I can't imagine seeing a 100 lb coyote in the woods.

Could be a Coywolf, it's been happening in the NE a lot more often lately it seems.  Possible it could be starting to happen out west.

I'd be questioning the DNA test. Looks like a wolf!

Sometimes there have been wolf sightings caused by people dumping these wolf or hybrid pets when they cannot handle them anymore. Plus I've always been curious if domestic dogs turned feral ever mated with coyotes.

I guess on the other hand it could just be a freak. Sometimes people and pumpkins grow extra big.

Definately not full coyote.

On a side note there's a coyote on my granddads farm thats HUGE, and barks like a domestic dog instead of howling. It's definately mixed with some kind of domestic dog but we haven't been able to get a shot at it yet.

Coyotes around here are about the size of a German Shepard, but are very scrawny and have red fur.  Often heard, but very rarely seen.

I've seen some big coyotes but that has to be some type of cross-breed, 104 pounds!?

Thats what they look like here in Ga. Just not that big. Very smart animal.

They all look like this guy, just smaller?  Going by physical apearance alone you'd swear it's a different subspecies than the coyotes we have out here where I live.

That fits my coyote's descritpion.  Maybe it's this big guy's thicker coat and coloration that just give him a wolf apearance, but still...

Sure looks more like a Timber Wolf. They were a native species here, but supposedly were hunted to extinction decades ago. Would be pretty cool if they were coming back.
