yeah, weekends for me is usually fried chicken potato salad and pork and beans with corn bread and sweet tea, with pecan pie as dessert.

What I've been craving for years is a slice of "Momma's Pie". It was something my Granny used to bake. Sort of a hybrid cross between pecan and mincemeat. It was delicious and I've never seen anyone else that knows how to make one, but this is as close as I've found.

Darn you Zoom!! I was good until you posted  :mad: Apple crisp is my favorite! Even better with my wifes grandfathers home made vanilla ice cream (cream from the local farmer and he scrapes the vanilla beans himself. Heaven in a dish.  Oh well, whats another lb or 2 :)
