Almost like LawnDart, except I once dropped 10 vehicle supplies on a town

^This, except mine was when I decided I wanted to drive an M3 and help capture a field. I upped at the spawn to find plenty of enemy GVs and a nice big tank battle going on. I manage to not get killed even though I think no fewer than a dozen rounds impacted near me during the frantic drive, weaving back and forth across open terrain to be harder to hit. There were at least 3 other guys also taking M3s at the same time as me, and I watched a couple of them get nailed as we got closer to town... there was a T34 waiting on the edge of town. Ack was down and white flag, but enemy armor waiting. CRAP! I turn hard right and head towards the beach, hoping to put distance between him and me so he wouldn't get a clear shot at me, and hope he was the only tank nearby. YES!! I'm in town, screaming down narrow streets and ramming bushes and buildings trying to navigate the roads and find the map roon, expecting to turn every corner and find an enemy tank waiting to slaughter me. YESSS!! There's the map room.... OMFG - it's undefended, and I have made it ALIVE!!! Slide to a stop, open doors............

Field Supps.   

Several guys asked me if troops were running yet. I told 'em I got killed. 

No way was I going on vox and telling what I had just done!

Jumped on Aces High for a B-29 run.  Got on the runway, throttle full, RPM full, WEP on, I'm rolling.   End of the runway is approaching, I start slowly pulling back on the stick.  I know I'm heavy but I'm a little surprised I haven't seen the nose rise yet.  I catapult off the runway (had a good dip at the end) and raise gear.  By now I'm positive I've got the speed to get control of my plane, I pull back on the stick again, nothing happens...

BAM!  Right into the side of the hill.

What the hell happened!?


Oh... Didn't have my joystick plugged in.    I've got an X52 and my throttle was plugged in, but not the joystick. DOH

Bout three years ago I joined a POTW mission and our flight lead flew the whole attack package into a mountain trap. Someone filmed it it was hilarious epic fail.

rolling supps to a base and just land when you get on the concrete, without dropping the said supps of course (happened several times).

One time I bailed out over the map room and opened my chute at the last second.  The enemy was closing in with troops, and I had to get to the maproom with my .45, pronto.  The moment was thrilling, but I wanted something more.  I reached into my pocket and took out a lollipop and put it into my toon-mouth, grabbed a pair of scissors out of my other pocket and ran like the wind.  

I realized later that that was a fool-hearty thing to do...

I know!  What was I thinking?  I'm not entirely sure you get new toon eyes and throats in the hangar either...

(Sometimes I lay in bed unable to sleep when I can't stop my brain from thinking about what may have happened.)

Sunbat, that's dangerously close to removing your genius status in my eyes...  Sorry to say, man.  Although the fact you survived it clearly shows you've got some kind of smarts.

I've done several of the things listed here, one of the more annoying was driving supplies to a base and exiting instead of dropping them.  My most common stupidity is forgetting what loadout I've got on a plane I don't use that often, and then discovering I was trying to dogfight in an F6F carrying 2x1000lb and rockets, and wondering why it's handling so heavy.

That's funny Wiley but one of my squaddies, who shall remain nameless, can top that or anything else for that matter:

An enemy T34 was in our HQ, and had completely destroyed the whole thing.  Radar was down, so Me and ________ flew over to HQ in goons to resupply.  We got there and I dropped the airfield supps for HQ.  Well, _________ didn't have airfield supps.  Fail.  As the vehicle supplies floated down to the bingo T34 I could not do much more than facepalm over and over again until my forehead went numb.

LOL!  That's... up there.  Actually resupplying the enemy when he's helpless...  Thanks for sharing that.

Now by process of elimination, it probably wasn't Ink, as he doesn't seem like the resupplying type.  It crosses my mind that maybe you're saying it was your "squaddie" that brought the vehicle supplies when in actuality it was you who did so...  Juggler's too new... hmm... so many possibilities.  Time to build a spreadsheet...

Since 1999, I have done all of these at least once!    Many countless times. 

For me, I guess the stupidest thing I have done........
