I might have to go to Oshkosh.  The world's sole airworthy B-29 is slated to make an appearance this year:

I've got $400 in my bank account for the sole purpose of flying to midland and getting a ride in the B29

Anyone know if they've posted FiFi's schedule yet?  Been looking and keeping my fingers crossed it makes it out to one of the airshows I'll be at on the West coast this summer.

Was disappointed they didn't have it squared away in time for last year.  Oh well, an excuse to go again I guess.

I had the opportunity to see her fly into Barksdale AFB for an airshow. She stayed for a long time on our tarmac after the airshow was over. She was crippled and was repaired by a team of civilian and military crewchiefs & specialist and lifted for home a couple of months later. It was very awesome to drive by her on our way to work our B-52G's. It almost felt like she was still a part of our bomber inventory and if called upon to lift with the alert aircraft, she would :rock

Here is the video of her flying:

I would gladly pay 1295 bucks for a 30 minute ride if I had the $$$ - Afghanistan....you will allow this...
Hopefully they'll tour next year too, that way I can do it! :) :) :) :) :) :) :)
