Also, I'm assuming that they will allow a Japanese skin for it as well, since they L2D2 and L2D1 were License built and purchased (respectively) DC-3's

They allowed me to skin a Japanese L2D2 on the old C-47, so I can't see why it wouldn't be allowed on the new one. I plan to do one when I get time, plus replacements for the Soviet, RAF and USN goon skins I did for the old shape. Even if they take a while to get in the MA, they will be needed for special events.

Just an FYI: the 37mm's from the Yak9T and P39D/Q fire AP rounds.  All four 37mm's in the game (M8 Greyhound, Il-2, Yak9T, and P39D/Q do the same 17.1 damage to soft objects (ord, fuel, barracks, radar, hangers, etc).  If anyt of them were HE rounds it could be logically assumed that the damage would be higher.  Vs armored targets the Soviet 37mm has a slight advantage over the US 37mm due to velocity, but actual in came armor penetration capability is not known (except for the M8 greyhound).  Sorry for the hijack.

FWIW, I hope to see a whole gaggle of new skins coming our way in the next patch.  I know Greebo, Fencer, and others have made some very nice skins and were submitted some time ago (2 updates ago).  I hope they get approved and released in the next update!!!  Also, with the new M3 and C47, I just may try and get back into skinning, I have lots to learn though!  I vote for the Greebo's "267th Sqd RAF" to be the first C47 skin to be re-released!!!  :aok

um.... did you see the new A6M variant being added???  The A6m3 is new to AH.  The A6m2 and A6m5 both got a re-model yes, but the A6m3 is very new and will be a very different beast.
