Expanded .join control
« on: April 11, 2011, 07:46:06 PM »
How about a mode while having someone in your plane via the .join command where they see the same views you are.
Maybe a .accept GameID 1 , for slave mode where they see the same view as the pilot does.
Far too many, if not most, people on this Board post just to say something opposed to posting when they have something to say.

A way to force the person who joins you to see what you see. You check your 9 , they look at your 9. You look back and left, they look back and left.
Similar to watching a film using 'Recorded views' but real-time when it's happening.
Of course you would not use this option if you wanted a gunner to join your bombers or someother plane and want them to actually do something.

realism? where?  oh i get it...the spit vs spit battles that happened over alaska.

i believe warturds had/has an option like this...i only used the .join <gameid> option twice so i'm not real sure. would be nice for training purposes.

it would be no less realistic than having someone .join your 1 seat fighter and become a second set of eyes for ya. as it works now.

+1, but i assume lag might be an issue.

I wonder how well this would work if someone, like me, uses TrackIR.

I think this would be more like a training tool than anything else.  get a new guy up with you and a fighter and he sees what you see along with an explanation.  the other guy wont be the normal extra set of eyes.
