The only way to run Aces High is via the Windows OS.  So, yes, you would have to install a Windows partition and use BOOTCAMP to run the game on an Intel based Apple computer.

Joker,

I play Aces High on a Macbook Pro circa 2008 - using BOOTCAM partition. Works great.

PM me if you need any help setting it up.

Hi Joker,

I also run Aces on a Mac Mini via bootcamp. Runs fantastic for me.

Let me know if you need help.

Hmm.. have been thinking about running Bootcamp, what version of windows do you have to buy though? My iMac specs are 2.33 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 2 GB 667MHz DDR2 SDRAM. Mac OS X version 10.5.8 think that should run the game fine? I havnt played Aces High II in about 9-10 years. Thanks guys/gals.

That should work just fine Dano.

I've used both XP and Win7 in boot camp. I like window7 better. I think XP support will be futzted in a few months.

Shouldn't be a problem using 2GB of ram either if your partition is mostly used for running AH. I upgraded my machine to 4 so I can run windows vm's in Mac.

Before you do a bootcamp partition, I might suggest you update to Snow Leopard  for $29. I think you get bootcamp 3 with that. Either way you can bootcamp part your disk but it will make things easier in the long run if you do SL update first.

I'd also suggest you give that windows partition 32GB - I've always under estimated how much space I'd use.

Good Luck and let us know if you need any assistance,

BTW, You aren't Dano from the Dammed are you back in the AW days? That would be a hoot!

Heya Joker,

I am running XP 32 bit on by boot camp partition and it is working just fine with AH. I am running Snow Leopard on mine also, you may want to wait a couple of months before upgrading to Snow Leopard however, Experts are saying that they expect Lion in a couple of months and you may just want to go straight to Lion.
