Facebook is for girls. Why would anyone put personal information about themself on the internet? And personally, I don't need to know what you did today, or any other day for that matter. I don't need to see your vacation pictures and I certainly don't need to chat with you about a whole lot of nothing. What a waste of time!

What you described about Facebook is the female aspect of it. For me, it is a networking tool, and a way to keep in contact with relatives and friends. It can also be used to click the "like" button on the HiTech Creations page. Then all my aviation buddies will be like, "hmm? What is that?" *click* "Hmmm, interesting." *click* "Wow! What fun! And realistic too!" *Click* More $$$ for our game. More funding = more features from a primitive perspective.

I actually use FB for a side job I do.  I'm a staff writer for the Lingerie Football League and use FB to get interviews out of the players.  With teams all over the country (and now Canada), FB is better for what I do that regular email is, because it allow me to scout a player before I approach her for an interview.  For one thing, it helps me get some background on who might make a good story, and who is actually literate enough to string proper sentences together!

And to keep this on topic, I just added an LFL gunsite to the AH page. :)

And we don't need your opinion yet here it is. Are you forced to use FB against your will or something?

You look a lot like someone who suggests that people who use FB are unwilling or incapable of doing those things too.  Which, of course, would be a very silly thing to imply.

Why would anyone think more ways to communicate with friends is bad?  However just like anything else, some people go overboard. There are idiots who make it there goal to collect as many friends as possible. Then there are others who only friend people they actually know.  So all you people running your pie holes about what Facebook is used for without trying it..... shaddapp.
