Citabria, I have a special affection for this guy probably because he is a fellow pilot and CFI in concurrent school. Yesterday in CT I got his FW, guess what?  :D

Everytime he or others find a pittyfull excuse, they make me smile because they remind me of this cartoon :

Hehehe   :D  Still love you Cit.

He was Knit the other day again, just to take his countries' CV back to the enemy.

Pyro, make it so that you have to be in a country for a certain amount of time, say, 24 hours, in order to have control of the CV please.

it would be nice to hijack this thread a little more...

how about someway of finding out who is in what position on the ships also.  Damn fleet gunners trying to kill troops while trying to capture a field, and not once acknowledging...

Back off Ripsnort, you are off topic. Geez I should I guessed that this thread would degenerate into and anti-Cit thread.

The idea was that "we" are all working to be recognized of the best pilot in AH, except that there is no best pilot. There is a bunch of best pilot, and I don't need to name them.
Personaly, I don't care being shot down by xxx or shoot down xxx else than my personal ego (hehehe gotcha). I don't care because I have nothing to prove, I know what I'm worth and I can pull a great fight Vs anyone.
Off course, sometimes I got shot down by a newbie for stupid mistakes that I make, or even Vs an AH ace. I always want to say :" Hey, I'm way better pilot, I should have got you dweeb". But I don't do it, it's part of the self control and common courtesie.
If the guy wants to brag "wohooo I killed Frenchy" even after a 1 on 1 because I screwed up, then he deserves his moment of glory. I bite my tong and I say :"WTG, I screewed up but you didn't, good job". (sometimes I don't even screw up)  :D

As a nutshell, being a great pilot doesn't means you are invicible, my usuall 3k sortie can quickly become a 1 death sortie even if I engaged with the advantage. Aces personal ego should not be used to offset the joy of somebody who shot them down.  :) ... especially if it's a newbie to AH. Leading by example is what a true Ace should do.

Had a similar engagement Frenchy... A p-38 engaged a group of people heading to attack a base.  We were all heavy.  The 38 dove in as we jettisoned stores and managed to down SWulfe after a well timed snap stall... he dove and looped a couple of times then headed for the deck.  I'd gotten my plane into position to dive in on him with an energy advantage.  He cleared a hill and dove in behind it, but I was coming in from a pretty steep angle and managed to kill him at about 400 yards as he leveled off at the bottom of the hill.  What followed?:

Hehehe Deja, I think Cit already used that one too on me. Yesterday he couldn't. Cit is very predictable, he usually comes in and pull as hard as he can to put his nose back toward you. He got an awsome gunery, he his guns are toward you, you will know it, wings will fly off next second. If you don't let yourself surprised by this agressive merge, then he keps pulling like a monkey and you have to do the same to follow/prevent him to point the nose at you. Then kicks in the second greatest Cit quality, his excellent judment of the other's Energy state. He goes vertical just when you are about to point his guns on him but have not enought E to follow him on the vertical. Then he wings over on you, and you can kiss your chute.
On the fight yesterday, I think I was 70% blackout to follow. Pull like a monkey ...1001...2001..3001... release yoke pressure, scan to find Cit, bank and pull like a monkey. hey, as long as it works, I respect his fighting technique  :)

But no need to focus on Cit, I thing each of us are guilty of the "u got me but"... no need to breack sugar on his back alone  :)

Isn't Cit now in JG54 who fly for Knits?

Anyhow, back on topic.  I can't think of one time that I've shot Frenchy down where he didn't whine like a little girl!

<S> Frenchy!

I had a good laugh this morning with the now classic 'Fester's stick incident'.

Very nice of you to have grayed out my handle...but I'm old enough to endure Fester's ire. Btw Fester, you shot me down 4 times in a row last week (I can be really dumb some(most of?)times), so you should already consider yourself avenged    :D
