new/old style of fighting
« on: April 18, 2011, 09:31:46 PM »
i FINALLY got enough time to be able to log into the AvA the other night. had a couple of friggin GREAT fights with melvin. we did something different though.

anyone remember "the great waldo pepper? remember the fight at the end? the sopwith vs the dr1?

well.....we did it me109f vs spit5!(i hadda take 2 showers, to wash the spitfire off of me). 3 or 4 fights, barely using our guns. it seemed more fun to biach-slap each other with our wings.  :devil

and an fyi....this shot here? i know, that in any other arena, those guns on that 109 would've been a blazing....

gettin closer....

melvins view....

this was our 3rd pass in this fight..and it looks like it's a fixin to be bad......

yay!! i won one!!!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

melvin the german airpeeeedooooo!!!!!

this was i think the 3rd fight like this.....i finally came out on top, so to speak. they were all close in, and part of what i friggin LOVE about this arena.......

what i wish, is that the film viewer would pick up things like the weather. these fights happened in a pretty serious haze....vis was only 6 miles, adding to the difficulty, as it was very hard to keep oriented when fighting over the water.

 anyway........great fights melvin!!

NOW STOP SLAPPING MY PLANE WITH YOURS!!!!!!  :devil :aok :neener:

Yep, I love fights like that.

Nobody was giving an inch or taking rotten shots.

A well matched plane-set + aggressive pee-lots = tons of fun.

The fights where I sit back and take a deep breath after it's over are the best. (Win or lose)

define low? puffy ack from the cv's doesn/'t even start till you hit 3k alt.

i think that at one point the 5" guns were mannable, which i think they also killed for me, as i want the ability for the cv gto be attackable.

Probably it was the light ack then, which is set at .25 of MA standards.  It isn't as harmful as MA, obviously, but it can and sometimes does still get you.

Puffy ack bursts still appear but should be harmless.

coolness..........i like that idea then, because to be honest...although the puffy killin ya is somewhat annoying, it is still pretty cool fighting amongst it.

He does it to me and most others as well, Cap.  But the fights are always good.

To me, "Low" is anything below 25k feet while "high" is anything over 35k feet.
