Spit 5 outturns the Spit 9 therefor it would have faired even better!
FDB's also took the .303 loadout. Seems to me the G-10 was also in the rumble...I'm no luftwaffe expert like R4M but that was a 1943 or later wasn't it?

Now I admit I never read all the choices, rules etc.  I just take orders and fly!!  Did your side not have a choice of which plane you flew?  Were you told to take toejamty airplanes and fly straight and level?  Or were you guys free to get in any plane from the Axis list and shoot planes out of the sky?

It's too bad the BB is full of pissed off pilots...and I would probably be dissapointed in the outcome had I flew Axis.  I think we should be thanking the organizers of this event instead.

However, I would point out tactics had just as much impact on the battle as aircraft did.  I got blammed in the first round and spoke on private membes of the Axis in our cage.  When battle was over they admitted they screwed up and got baited into a low turnfight rather than fly the 109's in a BnZ style.

you killed me in the first frame after chasin me around for 15 min . you pulled 2 throttle off  15 g turns ( wich were just warps due to your lag) i was calling for help the whole time not one plane ever droped on you. they just circled in the center. you won by lack of coordination and a laggy connec congrats skernsk.

dsl here 30ms delay 400 miles from server my connect is as good as it gets.and yes i checked it was flat. sorry man you got no room for bragging.

Wasn't bragging Jello...jsut took exception to being called a redneck who flew a plane that my flight lead told me to.

As per conect and warp....submit the film and lets see.  I was disco'd twice...and spoke to wizzer and one other you were flying with...they never mentioned it.  I to am on cable and live mush closer ot my server....like 5 km's.  I get a download rate of around 500kb/sec as I just tested it here.

Once again...I'm not here to gloat or rub peoples noses in it...I am just a little surprised t peolpes attitudes.  Christ it's just a game.

I watched most of the Rumble in the CM eye <F5> and noticed that the Allied players used wing tactics and the Axis didn't, THAT'S the biggest reason for the victory.

Shut up Zhekraut, you tried enough in the Rumble itself to ruin it and leave a bad taste. Stop it now.

Apart from Spit factor, we got beat by superior teamwork, I admit. At least in my sector.

But when you make roster in final minutes before the fight, any coordinated flying is pure science fiction. Pilots did to their best, but we were individual put together to fight (what I now know) two squadrons.

A big salute goes to Wmaker, who had to jump in as a Flight Leader, since FL for his sector deleted AH account prior to the Rumble. Sorry, Joonas, I know how frustrated you felt.

Sounds like a logistical FUBAR on the Axis side has taken some sweetness out of the Allied victory :)

Hristo...you make good points regarding the lack of peolpe etc.  I wonder what the hell happened to them?!?

I was flying next to the smelly canuck lizard all day saturday and never saw a single warp on his end.

There may have been some small ones on my end, but I was on dialup because of a recent move.  My ping to HTC is real good though...its a whole 2 hops from me to HTC through Applink.   :)

It's warping when you shoot them down, but it's nothing when they shoot you down.

I didn't notice a single warp by any plane in our cage, though I wasn't specifically looking for any.  I take that back, I think I saw a couple of planes warp when we were taking off from our base, but don't remember anything after that.

One thing I think our cage did really well was integrate the non-FDB pilots into the flight.  We got on RW and were very active in calling out positions, chk 6's, and clears.  We did well in Round 1, we did fantastic in Round 2, and we didn't do very well in Round 3.

If you have an issue with the planeset, take it up with Nash and whoever else decided on ROE for the fights.  Personally, I would have liked to have been in a Spit V in the first round, but I was assigned to the FDBs and we flew Spit IXs.
