When I was about 11 or 12 the Goodyear Blimp came to town.  I lived 1/2 mile from the local airport.  My aunt worked at the local Goodyear plant and the employees were offered free rides.  She passed.   :lol

It was SWEET to see that thing upping then toodling around for about 45 minutes and then coming back and landing multiple times over a 3 day period.  Almost as sweet as the local guy who owned the Corsair and took it up sometimes on weekends.  THAT sucker was LOUD.

We should do a medical study with this picture:  Half of us first noticed the Phantom and Voodoo, the other half the two blimps.

That is because the blimps are in the foreground and the Phantom and Voodoo are in the background.  In my defense it was ridiculously early when I posted. :noid

When I was instructing in Phoenix Metlife always had a blimp in the area during the big golf events. Had a picture of Snoopy on the side and the appropriate callsign of "Snoopy 1."

Back in the late 80s Goodyear used to bring a blimp to Teterboro all the time to film Meadowland events.  One week
they were giving 45 minute joyrides around Manhattan, but I missed it by 5 minutes!!  My buddies actually got to drive
the blimp, made for some good stories.

Don't know why the Fuji film blimp was flying over Northwest Arkansas but looked up one day to see it floating by really random.
