I don't know about you, but if I was paying for a game so that I could play with my friends and the game had mechanics implemented that disallowed this, I'd either vocalize my distaste or stop giving the company money.

Claiming that the above is adolescent behavior is asinine.

Sure, but HTC isn't blocking people from playing with their squads, it's just a whine about caps.  I can count the number of times on one hand I've been completely unable to fly with my squad within 10 minutes of logging on.  Most whines spew from a misunderstanding of how caps work and the inability to wait for more than 5 seconds.  His point was that if someone logs on, see the arena with their squaddies is full, logs off and unsubscribes is adolescent behavior.
LOOK EVERYBODY!  I GOT MY NAME IN LIGHTS!

Folks, play nice.

That is because the forums have said so.

Relax, play the game and let Hitech worry about subscribers. If you like the game, tell your friends about it as posting in here doesn't do anything.

Spot on. Some folks worry about things outside their control too much take it easy, get better then jump in and add to the madness that is Aces High.  :aok

Just how much to you think 14.99 buys?

Considering all the options this game provides, I'd say a lot.

I was a model builder prior to finding Airwarrior and the flight sim becoming my WW2 hands on fix for me.  That 14.99, even in 1996 when I started playing online flight sims would not have paid for even half the cost of a single model aircraft, in particular the good ones. That doesn't include the glue, paint, brushes, knives etc that are also involved in the building process.  In most cases, unless I find a book used, that 14.99 wouldn't pay for a single one of the WW2 history books that sit on the shelves around me.

Lets look at that 14.99 in practical terms.  That's just a bit more then a small pack of diapers for the little one.  That's about a weeks worth.  It covers a little less then two 24 packs of Diet Coke that sit in the fridge.  That's probably less then a weeks worth at our hose.  That 14.99 is less then half a tank of gas, which means with the driving I have to do, it would keep me going for 2-3 days if I'm lucky.

Bottom line is I think folks get awfully demanding for a measly 14.99 a month.

All things considered, with all the entertainment this game can provide, I kinda think it's a bit of a steal.

Well after all, TV is eliminating 3 daytime soaps. People still crave Drama. HT maybe needs a  "Snivel Forum".
We have so many Cap,  Eny,  Zomg spiez and Ho threads. :ahand It's just like a daily soap. Who needs TV.
Imagine any Military debrief with whines as we have.

Cap= Limited resources of personnel in Theather. All participants in WW2 went through it .

Eny= Would rather have old system of porking fuel to limit flight range.
Was more "WW2 like", even in WW2 as pilots and later modeled A/C
dwindled, many were thrown into anything flyable.
Sorta like Eny, I guess.

Spies= Julia Child was one. Of course it's cheating. War is hell after all. Part of the game too.
I don't care for it, neither did Tojo, Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Churchill or Roosevelt.
It was there, its here. Many people double/triple spied.

Ho= Happened all the time.

Seems like so many, especially younger folks, are forgetting  1)  It's a GAME.
                                                                                         2)  A GAME is manufactured, invented and played for what
class? Anyone? You there, Wurzel yes. Correct Sir.
                                                                                               FUN
If it creates more anger than fun for you(whomever), maybe AH ain't the one that's for you   Oz

P.S. Sorry Wurzel M8 :neener:

Here's what you don't understand. AH allows you to play with your friends just fine. It's just backwards they way you THINK it should work.

Instead of YOU joining THEM in order to play together, THEY join YOU and you all play together.

And I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, well! THEY shouldn't HAVE to join ME so we can play together or, even worse, THEY WON'T play with me if I ask them, then you must conclude that THEY aren't really YOUR friends after all.

For me it's just been baseball season....my sons team practices and games seem to be endless and then to come home around 10pm and club baby seals is less sporting than shaking baby birds out of saplings.   Besides, my daughter would want to adopt them.
