i shouldn't do this

but i'm gonna do it anyway.

 there was one or two threads that kinda turned into a camaro vs mustang thread. so what is it i shouldn't do that i'm gonna do?

 i'm gonna beat it into the ground. why? because i can. watch and learn.

Early Mustangs also proved successful in road racing. The GT 350 R, the race version of the Shelby GT 350, won five of the Sports Car Club of America's (SCCA) six divisions in 1965. Drivers were Jerry Titus, Bob Johnson and Mark Donohue, and Titus won the (SCCA) B-Production national championship. GT 350s won the B-Production title again in 1966 and 1967. They also won the 1966 manufacturers’ championship in the inaugural SCCA Trans-Am series, and repeated the win the following year.

In 1975 Ron Smaldone's Mustang became the first-ever American car to win the Showroom Stock national championship in SCCA road racing.

i was gonna throw chrysler out there too, considering they pummeled both ford and chevy way back when......but i didn't wanna hurt the chevy guys feelings too badly right out of the gate.  :devil

good point, as i did forget that.

 but i'll add to that that with that bailout money, they chose to build this car in canada to save something like 2800 jobs there, when i'd have expected bailout money to help save jobs here....... :noid

Mustangs are built here in Flat Rock, Michigan at the Auto Alliance Plant.

Chevy or Dodge don’t have the racing history of Ford.   NASCAR withstanding.
