If you have non-CH, anything CH will be an improvement.  However the 3 main CH sticks are all no Twisty so you need pedals.

I have had the combatstick for the last 3 years or so and the only down side to the flightstick is that it looks very short on buttons.

If you have pedals and a throttle to cover the rudder and lack of buttons then a Flightstick would be worth it.  :aok  Or it would make a great spare stick.

My backup stick is a saitek cyborg force but it is junk compared to CH.  In fact let me know who is selling it and i'll out bid you by a fiver   :D

yeah that's what I was thinking...lack of buttons...but it says you can program 80 functions...

I was using a X52 but the stick died...I now have  a cyborg X...which is not bad but the stick isn't as fluid as it was new...I have CH pedals and use the X52 throttle so yeah...So basically all CH sticks are equal with less buttons???

Looks like It is sold then...

Looks like they have re-designed their website   www.chproducts.com  with all new weird and wonderful hall effect space age sticks  :O.

Nearly just panic bought another combat stick from Amazon in case they have stopped making them  :noid.   Don't want to get caught out like with the Microsoft sidewinder force feedback,  had it 3 years as my first stick and I was spoilt, then when I couldn't get another I cried myself to sleep until I went CH.   ;)

The actual NEW price difference between flight stick and combat stick is only £15,  £75 and £91 respectively.  But I guess your getting it much cheaper than that so nothing to lose really Tongs IMO.

The main reason why they are so accurate is because the X and Y axis movement is separated.  A normal stick has a 360 ball spring.  Without adding any un-intentional control inputs such as elevator when rolling or excess rudder whilst turning.  It gives you a slight advantage.  I should be getting commission from CH for the amount of sticks I've sold them.   :D

Edit:  nvm I clicked into the wrong part of the website I haven't seen before  :o

No, save a few bucks and get either the Combat Stick or Fighterstick.  The Flightstick Pro only has 4 buttons, 3 axis plus a hatswitch, without a Pro Throttle connected it's just not enough for AH.

I think this was more an opportune deal than buying a completely new stick Ack-Ack.

Unless he's got a Pro Throttle or similiar device to connect to the Flightstick Pro, I'd pass on the deal.

Everything Bruv said, but one warning, the CH stick is for bigger hands. I had to put a pad on the little rest thing at the bottom of the grip. Other than that, its a great stick.

Ok  I have CH pedals and a X52 throttle which I use in conjunction with the stick I use now...and for $20NZD (New here $190) new in box on a legitimate site I can't really see the point of passing it up...the lack of buttons...well...I will see how I go with that...I am used to using and utilizing all and I am used to having at least 8 on a stick....but I just bought a new screen (23" yesterday) and now I probably don't need the zoom button anymore hahaha  ......it's makes a big change when you can define a planes shape at D1.5......I can actually see when a plane turns hahaha

Cheers for your input guys...I was really just trying to see if there was any cheapening in the manufacturing process between the this range of CH product...but other than how many buttons it seems that they are all made to the same mechanical standard..
