I did and I still don't see any instructions explaining how to use mouse to fly?  I must be missing something?

You use the mouse to navigate to a web page where they sell joysticks.  And that's how you use a mouse to fly.

(Sorry I dunno why I felt that sarcastic just now.)

Edit:  Lol sorry... it was too easy.  Anyways I really can't help you 'cause I don't use a mouse myself for flying.  I do think in the patch notes they added a lot about changes to the mouse, you might look it over carefully and see if you can figure something out.

You can toggle mouse look with <Shift M> or disable or enable it to default on in the Options/Preferences/View Options menu.

another flip answer,  I also fly with a joystick, but Ack-Ack's answer was not correct and neither is your's.  When I looked at the release notes there was no verbage that explained how one now used the mouse to fly an aircrft.

I did read the release, all of it and when I did , the release notes made no mention of how one goes about flying, controlling the aircraft with a mouse.  The mention of mouse and control key for turning the mouse control on and off did nothing to inform someone how to set up the controls to fly with a mouse for aircraft control.  So please show me what all of you are able to see and some of us can’t seem to find in the release notes.

"disable or enable it to default on in the Options/Preferences/View Options menu"

mouse acts like it used to but without the cursor showing.

I could never figure out how to fly with a mouse anyway.

Let's go back to this one:

I must be missing something?

Yes.  He wasn't talking about flying a plane with a mouse specifically.  So people were answering his question, I think you may be talking about something different that wouldn't be in the update notes.

Which, I believe brings us to:

I think you're talking about something else.

thanks Wrongway, I've done it a few times when on the road with my laptop, just think of the mouse as the top of the stick, push forward = lower the nose, pull back = raise the nose, move the mouse right = roll right, move it left= roll left, have to use the key board for rudder and views.

Turns out I'm wrong, as far as gunner positions anyway.
