GV Speed

I don't mind not being able to sit in the driver's position, but I would really like to know what my speed is when driving a tank.

its not so much the speed but not really sure if we are going at max speed for the gv or not.

yeah, but say yer new to the game, and just wanna test tanks to figure out which is fastest.. currently no way to check other than ask or race someone :)

even activating the e6b would suffice just to show speed would work, IMO

I pressed w and shift for full speed, i never got it till i pressed and help w by itself.

I can understand the wish, it makes perfect sense.  Just ask any real life tanker, the commander would ask for specific speeds in most cases, not "full speed ahead" or "full stop". 

I like the idea of a speedometer in the upper left corner of the screen while in the tank commanders view.

i don't mean to be an arse, but you do know that shift-w means hold down shift then hit w. not the other way around?

don't remember ever being asked about speed unless we were testing...otherwise the tc gave speeds with words like "slow", "slower", "slowly", "easy", "faster", "move", "haul ass", "stop", "hold it", "backup" and some form of left or right with a clock position.

none the less, a small speed indicator in an out of the way spot wouldn't be a bad thing...
