The mp3 I used is over 3Mb, it's a 3 min song at bitrate of 128kbps

Have you tried it with different mp3?

havent tried another mp3 song yet i really like Wagners The ride of the Valkyries, i just uninstalled the game ( kept my sights and skins and terrian and settings folders) reinstalled the game and added the Wav title0.mp3 into my sounds folder and still nothing   :bhead   :bhead

funny I was having the same problem but I run win 7 but your trick worked for me too. Happy but strange. :headscratch:
