High Risk for tornados
« on: April 26, 2011, 10:28:50 AM »
http://www.spc.noaa.gov/

You people living in the areas indicated should pay very close attention today. The Storm Prediction Center does not issue many High Risk events each year. Keep in mind the last few days of tornado outbreaks have been in Moderate and Slight Risk areas. This is a very dangerous situation to say the least. Be careful :aok

I'm in the Moderate risk area Tec. I may go east a little and chase but I'm on the fence with that at the moment.

Last week's storms killed 2 here.  My wife knew them both pretty well.  One was an 18 month old little girl.  Their wake was PACKED and sad beyond explaining.

Last night was insane.  Three tornadoes in my county (Garland) alone.

More storms today.  Not looking forward to it.

Been 90 degrees and sunny here through all of this.  Tornadoes and heavy rain just ~50 miles to the north.  Everything here is on fire.

This is bad. Very bad. Even my county (Montague Co.) is in the tornado watch. I was just reading the text that came out with it and they've upgraded it to a PDS (particularly dangerous situation.) This day might be remembered for a long time..

Looks like is getting bad and up here, 1000 miles north from Texas. Michigan, north of Indiana, NW Ohio are in "tornado watch" for this evening. This site NOAA is the best organized and updated, i would like to have a site like this in Canada.
