while we are talking about puffy ack being single aimed shells, can we get the cv puffy ack to NOT be a 'battleship game' type of targeting? you know, just make the computer controlled 5" guns use the same firing method as the mannable 5"s or every other computer controlled AA in the game? i think if people knew the puffy stuff was aimed at them instead of hits being based on a lottery system it might stop some of the frustration/whines.

+1 for a few mannable puffy acks at large fields
+1 for throttle control idea also

I think that having 88s for base defense would be an excellent idea. Maybe just dial in the fuse setting to desired alt and then use some extra controller to fine tune e.g. throttle as was already suggested. I'd rather see that they would only shoot to certain angle, not to ground level as we already have dedicated AT guns in bases. And no artificial restrictions for their use but they would function the same as our 40mms now except for traverse angle. Slower traverse than in 40mm so they would be more directed to use against high flying bomber formations.

Fact was the 88's did dual purpose throughout the war as both anti Air and Anti Tank. They were very good in both roles.

I'd hate to have the 88 and not be able to use it for anti tank role, or even arty role.
