Tornadoes

Anybody besides me find it strange that such violent tornadoes were in those areas?   When I think F5 I think TX, OK, AR, KS, and such.

Note: please don't make this a global warming / climate change debate.

Lotta people died, and even 5 is alot. They say we can expect this kinda extreme weather up until the end of may  :(

Yea, parts of Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa may be getting that same thing as the southeast just had.

Lowering the deductable on my car in advance.  When the jet stream changes, the nasty stuff will move west.

Actually that area is known as "Dixie Alley" and has a long history of violent long track tornados. Back in the winter I saw a model that predicted the first EF4/EF5 tornado event would be there this year. It did not predict such an outbreak though. Still hard to comprehend what happened.

Joe Bastardi called this months ago.  There is a significant cooling in the pacific that is causing a ramping up of these severe storms.  I'm afraid it's going to be a long spring.

I heard something like 300 dead, but I havent heard much because everyone is covering this royal wedding BS instead of ACTUAL NEWS

not really,these areas seem to get the extreme tornado's. I've been through 4 in SE Texas and all were EF1-EF2. We have an bellybutton load of them but there all small, those areas hit i relate with the big boys.

It was a perfect storm of sorts.  The warm air coming up from the gulf, the cold front coming from the north, the low pressure system behind said front, and the jetstream right where they all met.  That is the combination for something extremely terrible.
