Why do you want it so much?
I think 90% of your posts were about the He-177.  ;)

Who's "you"? I'd rather see the Do-217. Greif was a POS, born of confused design specs and grounded in it's initial versions.

Now let's get back to that ace-pageantry at Westminster Abbey...

The closest foreign flagged ship in the vicinity of Oahu on 12/7/1941 was the Dutch flagged merchantman, SS Jagersfontein.  SS Jagersfontein was not at Pearl though, it was docked at Honolulu Harbor.

I was kind of wondering why a foreign flagged merchant ship would be docked at a naval base  :D

We'll never get em. Just stop asking. I have been asking for the He 111 since 2004. What do we get instead? Every other Allied bomber (and Betty) in existence.

We dont have em in the game because HTC doesnt have any reliable flight information on them, well I can tell you they took off from somewhere flew over the English Channel and dropped bombs on my dad and grandma and then nearly all of them flew back to wherever they came from,my gran would not make up this sort of stuff believe me. :bhead

I know that a lot of work is put into the game and aircraft we fly but after seeing some of the manoeuvre's pulled off in the arenas during game play I really wonder how much accuracy is compromised for game play. If I am wrong then let me know.  I would be happy to see almost any Soviet, German, or Italian bombers added.  Oh and why am I not surprised that much of replays to this thread have nothing to do with a semi intelligent discussion of the subject.

The axis have no heavy bomber, the allies have many.

That said, only historic scenarios will require "bomber balance" since true axis vs allies action is unbelievably rare here.

Is the "two week war" with a rolling planeset that much of a failure here?

In historical settings is exactly where the Axis most certainly do not need a heavy bomber.  Why?  Because the Axis effectively never fielded a heavy bomber.

Have you thought of why there isn't an Axis heavy bomber in the game?  Could it be because the Axis really didn't field a heavy bomber?

They most certainly don't need a heavy bomber that might very well be better than any of the Allied heavy bombers in AH.  That isn't balance and it most certainly bears no resemblance to history where the Allies fielded literally tens of thousands of reliable, workhorse heavy bombers and the Axis fielded hundreds of unreliable semi-heavy bombers in dribs and drabs along with a few tens of a decent Italian heavy bomber.

And oh yeah, just over one hundred of a patrol flying boat that could be used, more or less, as a heavy bomber.

if you're talking germany, hitler did not believe there was a need for high altitude long range heavy bombers...he believed in the blitzkrieg offensive which focused on ground units with the luftwaffe providing nothing more than air cover and precision bombing...nothing like the roles of the b-17, b-24, lancaster and b-29.

just a guess but, do-17z, do-217, he-111 and ju-88 would be the most historically accurate lineup of german bombers.

Toss the Ju188 in there as well.
