Any Suggestions?
« on: May 03, 2011, 11:37:32 AM »
First let me start off by saying if I made this post in the wrong forum, I apologize. I also apologize if this issue has been brought up and resolved before, I searched the board but didn't come up with anything related.

Alright, so here is the problem.

No, it's not my 19 frame rate, it seems that it always dips down when I take a screenshot. My frame rate stays locked at 60. :) The problem is the ammo counter. I'm not sure how to even describe it. But, look for yourselves. I thought maybe it was that antistropic (sp?) filtering setting causing it, but I checked that and it's turned off.

Here's a screenshot of my video settings.

It seems weird to me that if I move my pilot around my cockpit, I can read the counter fine, however I have to constantly keep moving my pilot to read it. IE, I can't move him forward and read it all the time. It's like it gets pixelated or something.

Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions, and I apologize if this is in the wrong place, or has been solved before. <S>

-Edit- I forgot to mention my Aces High settings, I run the game at 1600 x 900 (native resolution for this monitor), with the 1024 resolution and hi-res pack. -edit-

You might want to post a dxdiag of your computer. If it stalls taking a screen shot you might be over driving it. I can't see the pics on my blackberry, but I know my system never stumbles taking a screen shot.

Doh! I knew I was forgetting something, turns out it was the dxdiag. Apologies for not providing this sooner.  :salute

How come every time people post about strange problems and graphical anomalies like this, they have a laptop?

For what it's worth, it happens on both my desktop and laptop. I just started playing AH again, and on this same laptop and desktop I didn't notice it doing that before.

Try playing with the Field of View setting.. I've seen some strange things happen with the text with different resolution and FOV settings.
