Sounds to me like there is an up down issue with changing arenas. Will try get it fixed for this weeks patch.

A lot of times when I exit out of game I get the "AH exe stopped working".
It started for me a couple of updates ago.
I too, tried different things. I was thinking maybe something in my
Nvidia drivers was conflicting with something that AH added/updated?
It also changes my vid settings to lowest resolution.
But, I'm sure it's not just Nvidia cards having issues right?
I've pretty much said screw trying to figure it out.

I had a similar problem, i couldn't long in online arena,got this msg " AH exe stopped working".
until one of my squadies sugested the easy 2 steps fix  on our sqd BB;
  1.-right click on your desktop AH icon
  2.-clik on "Run as administrator"

I also have been getting the ahgame.exe not working message since last patch.  Got it twice in 15 min of each other last night.  I wasn't switching between arenas.  It was Titanic tuesday so only one arena was there for the MA.  If switching arenas, I go completely out of game and go back in.  This happens to me while in game.  My system is:

windows7 ultimate
nvidia gtx 580 graphics card
12GB corsair ddr3
Intel corei7 Extreem edition 990x 3.46 GHz processor
ASUS P6x58D Premium motherboard with on-board sound

I'm running the hi-resolution terrain.
