I am hoping your bringing the family! Just wanted to also throw out there I see a scheduled scenario for June 11th. and wanted to make sure you don't have to be there or give who you need to a heads up.
 :salute

I'll be there with my Dad (who plays under the handle "Popsman") and maybe Tudza.  We are are all in the scenario, so we will probably arrive at the museum around 4 pm.  So, a little late, but we will find you! :)

I'm also seeing if Rapier and Gazoom can join us.  They live in the area, too.

Okay...

Flight planned to Boeing field; it'll take 1 hr 25 min from KBDN, Bend, Oregon.  I have room for up to 5 others in the Aztec.  We will meet at the Bend airport at 0700 and be wheels-up no later than 0720.  I'm instrument current, as is the aircraft, so there should be no issues with the weather (the Aztec is also FIKI, flight into known icing, equipped).

Let me know who wants a ride, and your weight as well as the weight of the luggage you'll be taking.  I'll post a diagram of the airport and the hangar we'll meet at.  I wouldn't mind staying over an evening for the Pike's market trip, but we can decide that on the fly.  Participation in fuel cost is welcome, but not required  :airplane:

If anyone nearby needs a room for the evening prior to departure, I have 20 acres just east of the airport in Bend; couple of spare bedrooms and a pair of couches to crash on  :aok

Also, for folks who are staying more than the one day, there is the Flying Heritage Collection of WWII aircraft about 1 hour north of the Museum of Flight.  It's Paul Allen's collection of WWII aircraft, most of which are flown periodically.  Details of that collection are here:

http://www.flyingheritage.com/TemplateHome.aspx?contentId=1

The Flying Heritage Collection is at Paine Field, which is also the home of the Me 262 rebuilds.

Warspawn, for you, from Boeing Field to Paine Field would be a short little hop. :)

Around us at the get-together, Dawn's call sign probably should be "Yes, Dear", so that we don't have to witness her giving you a thrashing.  ;)

***UPDATED ***

PLEASE CONFIRM IF YOU HAVE NOT DONE SO

Ok June 11th. is the day!

Museum Of Flight opens at 10:00a.m.

We will be in the cafe area between noon and 12:30 p.m. for lunch/snack/break.

2:00p.m. is our tour. Museum closes at 5:00 p.m.

Randy's restaurant is open 24/7 and I got their "back area" for us.
I figured a 6:00p.m. dinner. They serve bottled beer and wine until 10:00p.m.

I have a few places close for a block of rooms if needed but, I need to know who would be planning to stay more then the day.

Please post or re-post if not on the list or to fill in the info. I don't have.

If you know you cannot be there for 10:00 a.m. let me know what time you can be there by because I do have to pay for any late comers when we check in at 10:00a.m. to get the group rate and tour for the group.

Anyone up for it on Sunday we are making a trip to Pike's Market.

If your on the list and:

1.) Your info listed is incorrect
2.) Cannot make it
3.) Have information that needs to be filled in
4.) Will be staying overnight ( I have NOT gotten a block of discounted rooms yet since there has been no need as of now so the sooner I know this the better!)
5.) Will be making the Pike's Market trip on Sunday
6.) Have more then just yourself coming (child/age and adult count please)

Please let me know on this thread or PM me.

Last but, not least there are so many players that do not read the forums so please pass this on within your squads, country and the occasional shout out on channel 200 would help and though I anticipate the west coast to be greater and bigger each year we do this the first one is always the "start" which tends to be a little smaller of a group. I am leaning towards Seafair weekend next year here is a sneak peek http://www.seafair.com/AnEvent.aspx?ID=17&SecID=935

but, for now let's get the info. above filled in and some more to join in!

 :salute

You can confirm me and I will be getting a hotel room so I can drink. But I won't be hanging at Randy's to do that. i will go somewhere else after dinner where they serve the hardstuff. I cant drink anything carbonated so I have to stick with vodka and orange (screwdrivers).

Warspawn, mtpockts is interested in going, I belive he PM'd you his phone number.

There is a bar in Tukwilla I believe that has a sign out front that says Liquer in the front, poker in the rear. I find
 that quite amusing.

You are confirmed Ironic. Randy's stops serving alcohol at 10 along with a three drink per person max. It is primarily for dinner and yackin'. No one has needed a hotel yet however, if anyone does need a hotel I will be getting a block of rooms near the museum/restaurant/airport and there will be a lounge their so no one drinks and drives. I am not too concerned on this issue since drinking socially is ok and covered in the agenda. Anything more can be at the hotel or you gentlemen can arrange your own "after" party.

Pike's Market is an early trip so I am hoping those who attend the museum plan to hit Pike's the next day and between the market and bringing families I am leaning towards more people having "family" fun and a good time socially then "party" fun and getting hammered.
