i take off in a b26 GET OWNED by a 110 and by a P47 one buff left OMFG now what well i get despret and start dogfighting....make a long story short i win the dogfight go to land and 1 mile from base out of fuel  :mad: just goes to show how you can win and fail in the same sortie

and guess what 17 perks wow!

i thank my gunner ohhell for his actions

We didn't say you couldn't dogfight in a B-26, we said you wouldn't win unless your opponents truly sucked.

Or if you're just a cheap pilot like me and HO at the start of the fight.


Then again if a fighter turns and goes for the HO on a B25 or B26 first thing then I guess they do suck since they just should out maneuver them. Never mind, carry on.

One of my favorite things lately has been to up an Il-2 w/ the 37mm's, when a base is under attack, and just fly around waiting for people to HO me.  Inevitability a few always try, and lose.  :lol

Upped a B25H a few days ago when a CV was right off one of our fields, hoping to kill some LVTs (more fun with the 75mm than the IL2's guns, to me at least). Found no LVTs, so I said "what the heck!" and headed over the water to the furball.

Very first plane, a Zeke, tries to HO me!  :rofl

BOOM!

got a seafire and an F4U on the drag, knocked the Corsair's wing off with the tail gun and smoked the seafire (was on the deck, and these rocket surgeons just stayed there dead 6 barely closing.... easy meat, even for me and I suck in bomber guns).

turned around and HOed another zeke and seafire! 4 kills! YAY!  :D

And then got popped by a 5" gun! :furious :furious :furious

Woulda been nice to land those, but was freakin hilarious anyway!

i managed to catch some low flying Lancs in a B25 with the 75mm gun package, one pass from about the 10 oclock postion knocked all 3 of them out of the Sky, the fun lasted about 3 seconds   :joystick:  lol
