Too many perked tanks?
« on: May 07, 2011, 07:17:23 PM »
Five out of eight tanks in AH are perked, a far higher percentage than perked fighters or bombers.  What do you think the effect of unperking the M4A3 (76mm) and the T-34/85 would be?  Good, bad, ugly?

bad it would put the panzer out of use

only a moron would use Dolby positioning in a game.

Why would that be bad?  The Panzer puts the T-34/76 and M4A3(75mm) out of use, so by that measure we should perk the Panzer IV H.  Wouldn't it be better to have two competitive free tanks rather than one?

I kinda' saw the number of tanks with 1 perk point as a kind of "do your share" system with resupplying. If I'm running low on v-perks I just resupp a base or two and go back to driving my T-34/85.

Another advantage to unperking the M4A3(76mm) and/or T-34/85 is that the Panzer IV H might then have it's ENY raised, which would leave countries that are ENY limited, but not severely limited, with a useful tank as opposed to now where they are toothless.  Panzer IV H at leas has a bite.

The 76 should be perked more if anything.

1 perk is the same as being unperked.  that's normally how many perks i use when I up the 76mm.  I can get 1-3 perks easily by just running field supplies to a base.  I can get enough perks withing an hour or two to up the 76mm for a month.

+1

When the Firefly was 5(?) it may have well been unperked too.

Until you cannot kill as much as to earn your perks back when you die, not if you die, perk charges are almost meaningless.

If you do a resupp run when you log on and a resupp run before you log off perks should never be a problem unless you're the kind of GV'r that loses Tigers a lot. I agree that 1 perk on a GV is pretty inconsequential.
