I guess we were due for someone to rediscover Courtesy Aircraft again.   It's been a while, used to happen about every 3 months, someone would discover Courtesy and comes to share it.   They always have P51s for sale, can't remember checking them out and not seeing at least one.

Or you could buy a Cessna 172 for the same price with a glass cockpit, and carry 4 people. About the same speed too.......

The reason someone buys or builds a T-51 isn't even the next town over's ballpark as the reason people buy a 172.  A RV8 has more in common with the T-51 all without the training wheel on a 172 while going 50-70+% faster at cruise on slightly more (~25%) fuel in the case of an RV8.  The T-51's with the Suzuki motors do well also and despite being a lurker with the builders group I don't have the numbers off hand.

A 172 is a good training airplane, good for poking holes in the sky and taking your girl to lunch.  A T-51 is a retractable gear aerobatic airplane built for sport.  It's comparing a Corvette on a road course to a Sedan on the highway.  If you want to take the family somewhere slowly you take the Sedan.  If you want to get lost for a while and have some cool manly fun, you take the Corvette to the track.

Very good point, I'm already really good with control lay outs in planes. Or basics for flight. Got taught when I was 5-7 all about air planes, and it stuck to me.

haha, I'm not a pro, or being cocky, but i've taken off and landed a Cessna 182 when I was 11. With a little help. But I did a majority of the flying.

Are you building one? I'd really like to see it too.

Also, I just looked at the specs page and missed the part where it was fully aerobatic.

No as I don't have the time.  If I had the time to actually put into it I would seriously consider it.  I follow the builders groups because I like the airplane and the design.  An RV8 is more within the budget and easier to operate as a non builder.

I Like to think I do, I don't try to sound over cocky, I don't want to sound like i'm rubbing things in. But I've been in air liner cockpits a few times before. I recall its against regulation but What is a 10 year old going to do. I got into another one after we got back from a trip to Utah, right after we landed in Atlanta, I had just turned 15. The funny thing was, I was overwhelmed with the amount of switches and buttons. Then The co pilot flipped a switch and everything lit up and I was even more overwhelmed. :lol But It was fun, and got me more interested in planes.

No..It's an expression for anything that has a prop on it.

If it has a prop on it, its going to cost you (alot) money.  There for it is better to have a goog friend with one.

After owning multiple props it is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo true.
They call it "common sense", then why is it so uncommon?
