there will be HOing, picking, ganging,  tackles-rams,  (No vulching)  all the things people enjoy to complain about.

However this will be balanced number wise.  Everyone enjoys a rolling furball in the MA and this will be no different.  Any players who continually complain or whine will be dealt with accordingly  ;)

All I can say is welcome to the danger zone.

so will bombers be enabled? I could forsee some squads bringing six formations of B29 death stars through the furball just for the fun of it.
The real problem is anyone should feel like they can come to this forum and make a wish without being treated in a derogatory manner.  The only discussion should be centered around whether it would work, or how it would work and so on always in a respectful manner.

the numbers will be balanced, no vulching and everyone will be in the same ride.   This is much different from MA.

As for the Hoers they might chance it to get one kill and re-up but getting 3-5 per sortie will aid your teams efforts.

no bombers enabled.

There will be one plane per round and this will be mixed up every month.

Thanks for explaining Bruv. I guess I could have saved myself some embarrassment and you a post if I had just read the details in the link above. After reading the details, I do have a couple of questions. Are walk-ons going to be allowed, and even though you said no bombers I hope that planes like the A20 or solid nose B25 are still in consideration. Would WWI birds ever make it into the rotation?  Will the winning squad get to pick next months ride like the winner of the extream air races gets to?  Still a really cool idea, thanks for setting it up Bruv.

*edit to add the question that popped into my brain right after initial posting.

these are all possibilities,

In regards to walkons it is primarily a squadron event.  Depending on the amount of guys that show up having a misfits squadron to make up the numbers wouldn't be a bad idea.   However I fear they would get mauled by the finely tuned killing machines out there and log off half way through.  Maybe the walk ons can be assigned to different squadrons in the secondary bowls in the undercard fights.

As for your comment Simon I would have feared some sort of copyright law suit for the name of the event but seeing as FA is buried I might just get away with it.  I can also argue that there are enough differences in the setup to make it unique  :P

If successful it will be very simple for other CM's to host and maybe we can do it weekly just like the good old days.   ;)

So I guess you have midway covered  :joystick:
When I die bury me in a P38.

I watch day after day, week after week, tour after tour, the Bishops and Rooks take bases and win maps while the Knights stand there with their thumbs stuck in their butts. It's just pathetic!

quote from the rules

"...3x 15 minute rounds.  The intensity of the initial furball will be of scenario proportions and we will have three of them within the event.  The objective is to not be the team with the least amount of credited kills.  The 3rd and final round will define the winning squadron for that month."

why have three rounds if the 3rd round is the one that defines the winner?

seems it would be easier to have a 45 min furball the squad with the most kills at the end of 45 min is the winner.

other then that looks pretty fun.....and it looks like the map could be small enough for some custom maps to be made..... :x

could you handle 45 minutes of constant furballing without the need for a cig break, loo break or cup of caufee?

If there are lots of squadrons wanting in on the action the squad with the least amount of kills gets eliminated from the main event and another steps onto their field.
