I've gotten him a couple times. The key is to try and get a good row blocking off at least one edge and to guide him into the existing dark spaces.
Ron White says you can't fix stupid. I beg to differ. Stupid will usually sort itself out, it's just a matter of making sure you're not close enough to become collateral damage.

Also: You have to get him into a position where you're placing your dots AHEAD of him, that will let you change directions to complete the circle. Once he's ahead of you, unless you're routing him to a pre-existing dark spot you're screwed.

the big variable is the initial dot set up and which way the cat decides to go - much like in AH.   :bolt:
