But you can't fly jets with glasses? The G's would suck them off your face? and if that happened and you can't see your pretty much screwed right? :headscratch:

I pulled up to 5Gs with sunglasses, worked out just fine. Glasses are not that heavy to significantly increase their weight with Gs. Now I realize with fighter you'll be pulling a lot more and I'm not sure what exactly they do, but they do let you wear the corrective lenses somehow.

I've heard different stories about this actually, but it seems like the main concern is if something happens like it comes out or off in a glasses case, a pilot couldn't see, or if one contacts lenses fell out you would loose your depth perception? I mean I believe you, but I can see people's concerns.

It depends on the quality of the glasses, if you buy something for $5 than yeah it probably would not work out but if you go for $300+ you should be fine.

Anyone have a link to the thread where he claims he got paid a visit by the secret service?

Copied from their website

"What types of crimes does the Secret Service investigate?

The Secret Service has primary jurisdiction to investigate threats against Secret Service protectees as well as financial crimes, which include counterfeiting of U.S. currency or other U.S. Government obligations; forgery or theft of U.S. Treasury checks, bonds or other securities; credit card fraud; telecommunications fraud; computer fraud, identify fraud and certain other crimes affecting federally insured financial institutions."

As Golfer said, this won't end well.

omg...raptordude...there is so much wrong with even the mere thought of you with a badge and a gun...i would hope the law enforcement in your state has the sense to give you nothing more dangerous than a wet noodle and a kazoo then put you on crossing guard duty.

I quit following that thread awhile ago, and it's a shame. Looks like I missed a real gem.

Basically i'm enrolling in a summer camp provided by my counties police department, and and after school program with the force as an addition when it starts. Lastly, i'm a Block Captain for my neighborhood's watch. Life's starting to look up you can say

If this is the path you want to follow, then I wish you the best of luck.
