It would only take 1-3 well played shots to wipe out an entire NOE vtard missun. Text buffer would look like dropping a 4000lber on the city strat.

Jugg, this is NOT the solution to the problem. This would lead to similar dweebieness as one sees around CVs.

I agree that long slogging quagmires are a helluva lot more fun than these damned smash and grabs.

Better solutions would include more town to destroy, harder to destroy hangars, or, what I would like to see-unbreakable hangars.

But, perhaps most players like these changes. Perhaps people feel that shooting down each other for hours and hours without a base cap is pointless.
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

The only HO I have every attempted was with a French potato named Miss Francine.  Otherwise I stay away from the HO it makes me very nervous having 20 and 30mm shells whipping by my canopy.

Good Grief the Island hopping troops of WW II salvaged everythinmg that they could for both anti-personel and AA, from 5" to 40 MM vickers and I believe the Vickers had proximity fuses also. but with Lag and varing frame rate, yesterdays kill is todays miss.   :old:

:rofl  I know, just always throwin out ideas even if they sux. The only issue IMO that many many folks dislike "unless" they are on the giving end is the "cherryfest".

Base takers are commited to a goal, that is "TAKE THE BASE"
Defenders are commited to a goal, that is "DEFEND THE BASE" usually very out numbered cause there is no counter "mission generator" to respond to the base takers.

Then we have the Hmmm :headscratch:  "walmart shoppers" Now the walmart shoppers care less for quality to the point of disdain for it, they want their merchandize as cheap as possible. In fact they have been so cheap for so long they haven't a clue what quality looks, smells, feels, sounds or even tastes like. Cheap cheap cheap, that is the over-riding motivator for them. Displayed openly and clearly in their style of play.

There is no goal for them other than cheap.

My interest in a change is to try and find a reasonable way to cull the "shoe clingers" from the "base takers". It is a heavy burden for the base takers to set up a mission and have so many "shoe clingers" stuck to their boots.

The walmart shoppers are opportunistic cheaparse cherry pickers that should have some motivating factor forced on them to improve the quality for all  :aok

HAIL to the basetakers and defenders as they are the only ones who have set a goal to achieve.

BOO to the rest who are nothing more than used toilet paper stuck to someone elses boot  :neener:

Just make em mannable flack. Been asking for years.

And 3" shells.

+1
Forgot who said this while trying to take a base, but the quote goes like this. "I cant help you with ack, Im not in attack mode" This is with only 2 ack up in the town while troops were there, waiting. The rest of the town was down.

As always you stole my thunder!!!!   I am one of the "takers" that think it would slow down the horde.  If you want that done then this is a way to do it.

I must say -1 to the 5" guns on a field.  I do however give a +1 to the manned 37 mm guns in town.

How often do you get these massive missions? Fields and towns have good protection at the moment. I don't see why an organised mass attack should be used as an excuse to up the defence level further. It's part of the gameplay, an overwhelming attack force by suprise should succeed. Even if I am the only one defending as it seems at times
  :O  :joystick:

Edit: manned 37mm gun in town +1 (It would not be manned for very long!) At least you would not feel quite so helpless for a minute or two
