why not? it was a big part of the german arsenol and it would be a great addition now that we got the new track movement in AH.

I believe it's a spare wheel for the track.

Stug III and Stug IV were major parts of German inventory. Low profile, difficult to hit but with limited traverse. I'm sure we'll get them sooner or later.
Here we are, living on top of a molten ball of rock, spinning around at a 1,000mph, orbiting a nuclear fireball and whizzing through space at half-a-million miles per hour. Most of us believe in super-beings which for some reason need to be praised for setting this up. This, apparently, is normal.

The StuG III or IV would make a lot of sense to add to AH.  The only thing is, the main gun and the main gun sight are the same on the Panzer IV, it has the same speed as the Panzer IV, and is no more armored that the Panzer IV.  The only real advantage would be a lower profile for 1v1 battles.  Oh, and ultimately it did not have the ability to move the tracks in the opposite direction like the Panther and Tiger, it could lock one and move the other.

So for fun, just grab a Panzer IV and do not use the turret except for maybe 15 degrees either way.  Just see how "not easy" having a gv like the StuG with no pivot ability will be.  THEN see if you really want it in AH.   ;)

but you would see just how the StuG would fit in to the AH ground game.   ;)  The more I think about it the more I think the Su-100 should be the first turretless tank/TD/assault gun in AH simply because it can take a beating and dish out a beating albeit a slower than typical reload rate.  I'm not sure of the main gun sight that it used off the top of my head, but I doubt it would be much better in quality that the T34/85.  The StuG wouldnt offer anything more than the Panzer IV H, imo.

it'd be kind of hard to make and also dont forget that you have to turn the whole tank to aim.

It would not be any more difficult to make.  Actually, the Su-100 would be easier to make because the T34 chassis is already in game, while the Panzer III chassis of the StuG III would have to be built from the ground up.  Food for thought: there were over 10,000 StuG III's built, and "only" 2300 Su-100's.

Both would be good to have, but I'm leaning towards the Su-100 because it offers something we do not have in AH currently.  The StuG III would will a void in scenarios.

The real neat thing would be if HTC could add in the StuG and have the different guns available for choice.  The long or sort barrel 75mm, or even the StuG 42 version.   :aok
