yeah it will get goin fast at alt in a shallow dive tho, no biggie, its light and fast, plus roll goes out the toilet at 300+
The B29 pretty much destroyed the balance of Pacific FSO's, as no Japanese planes can catch it, so I give the new Hamp a BIG  :aok

with a 450mph zeek?  what climbs 3600ft/min at 40K? you kidding, bro? It eats everything at alt  :D  outruns the M-jug, out-accelerates for sure, also outturns and out-rocket-climbs. Fear the killer zeek  :devil

I checked the speed charts, and there is no data for it above around 20k, must be a glitch.

I'm a believer in the Hamp. Only guy in the squad that took in in frame 1 of this FSO and I got 5 kills in it. Seemed overly fast, roll rate was phenominal at all speeds, climb rate was ridiculous even over 30K as you found out. Held it's E like a friggin Jug. It totally outclassed the Hurri2C and Seafires I faced. Yeah, if I had 3 thumbs it'd get 3 thumbs up! Try this then    :aok :aok :aok

wow, I just checked-rechecked triple checked it in MA at all alts, it never got above 340 if that, must be a little glitch in your comp.   I wouldnt worry about it, think Spit 16, Brewster, planes that do what no other plane should ever do IRL.  Plus we dont have ANY Japanse planes capable of catching the B29 at alts above 22k, (which really discouraged a lot of Axis FSO guys the last B29 month).  Plus the MG151/20 is still too slow RoF, and the 190A8 is overweight.  If its a little fast, so be it.   In FSO maybe AXis will have half a chance vs the hordes of B29  (then again, 2 pings from those tailguns and its all over anyway)

Rgr, same thing happend to me while chasing a TBM at 28K in a 152, i was doing 420, he was pulling away the whole time, lost sight of him after 10 minutes.  Once in a while it happens, then things go back to normal the next time.

(both of these statements come from other sources)
he Hamp, she's about 20mph faster than the a6m2, which is about perfect. Yes it can get crankin in a dive at hi alts, thinner air, less surface area than the A6M2. But so can the Ki84, If you're above say 15k, in the thin air.  Ive had it diving to 580+ with no problems, untill I hit the thicker air around 15k, then had to slow down QUICK!   :joystick:

Other than the Fw190A-8 being overweight, do you have any supporting evidence for any of your other claims?  It all looks like complete bullcrap to me.

FSO's should enforce historical bomber cruise settings, but even so the Ki-84 should be able to overtake a B-29 at 22k.  It would be a massive hassle though.

I was quoting another member of the BBS about the rate-of-fire on the MG/151 20mil, from the Hispano Mk V post.  He did the research, that I couldnt find. As for the Axis flyers being discouraged during the B29 frames, was from simply listening to the other Axis guys during/after each frame.  I actually wanted to delete part of that post, but the "modify " button is gone, and I dont know how to do it without.  Any ideas?
