This is a repeat of a Gameplay forum...I post here because I REALLY NEED help

Man, I suck with rockets...can anyone tell me HOW to fire them? from what distance, how many per salvo, and delay?

Rockets are the strongest point of Typhoon to kill panzers and acks and I seem to miss all shots! I only hit an ack yesterday with a zillion rockets!!!

Thks in advance

Hmm, well I am pretty good with them, my method is a steep dive at around 400MPH IAS. Let your gunsight run right over the target then push it down. As soon as you hit "0" G fire. then pullup.

Best range is around 800-500 yds. I salvo them in groups of 2 or 4. 2 for an ack and 4 for a tank (acks don't move)

My approach is a little different, however it works as well

I start my dive a distance from the target and pull out to obtain a 15-20o approach....I fire at 1000-1500 yrds with the sight slightly above my target....whew!

All I can say is that it works

Cyas Up!

Rude,

I think 15-20 degree aproach to target is a huge mistake. It might work against M16s for now (though I'm sure couple of of them will definatly take you out during such an approach), but it won't work against fields, as acks will literaly chew you apart. My approach to bombing is to fly low. Locate target, grab some alt and perform a vertical dive on it. Works perfectly against even heavily defended fields, the trick is to pull out in time and always do evasive manuevers, except for the moment when you lining up to fire rockets or drop bombs.
There is another plus to a vertical dive bombing - you get to choose direction to which you will extend. This is a huge factor as you don't have to fly over the whole field and also because if there is a danger of fighter, you simply roll and choose opposite direction of him. I usually fly Typhoon on my bombing runs and most of the time I simply outdive and outrun any fighter that wants to mix it up with me. Just roll, dive, bomb, pick up speed and say bye to pursuers

First you should get a gunsite with mudmoving alt-crosshairs.
Go here for examples of styles http://www.99th.org/cuda/gunsights/gunsights-d.html
