Binoculars
« on: May 22, 2011, 01:54:47 PM »
I wish all GVs, those with and without zoomable sights had some type of zoom capability from the commanders position. It would be like using binoculars.

Eh... I think it would be cool to have binoculars but in the end the time to model acurate binoculars for each country wouldn't be worth the time and effort to HiTech.

-1 for binoculars sorry.

-1, we want people using the tank scopes to make shots. I know if I had a zoom option in commander position I learn how to make shots using binochulars.

I zoom all the time in commander's position, looking for enemies.  Once I find them, I try to maneuver around for a descent shot and use the gunner's sight for the shot.  Why do people think there's no zoom function while driving around in a tank from the commander's position?  Perhaps there's a modeling bug in whatever vehicle you're using.  Is it all vehicles, or just certain ones?

Are you getting zoom at all?
Just one position zoom? No adjustment possible with the [ ] between zoomed and not zoomed?
Will the "range" adjust on the Panzer, Panther, Tiger, T-34, and Firefly in the Pos. 2 gunsight for you?

I had all of these issues in Mode 2. I found that everything worked as it was supposed to in any other mode. So, I made a Mode 4 with all my gv settings and a button on my keyboard to switch to Mode 4 when I launch.

Not sure I understand this one. I'm not asking for a pair of binoculars, just some type of zoom available from the commanders position as if you were using binoculars. We've already had this, so I don't know what time to model you mean.

I'm not sure why you think we don't have zoom available from the commander's position...we do (always have).

Tried it again tonight and it worked.  I must have had a bug because it wasn't working. But it is now so.... Wish granted. :D

They do in the commander's position, which is what this thread was all about.  Main gun sights were not the issue, as we all know they've been re-vamped.
