the only good thing to come out of WaW was Zombies. the spawn system online was horrible, and all the cod ppl did was  over the tanks in the game (further proof they couldnt survive on battlefield).
plus, on single player hardcore mode, all the enemy did was spam grenades, that was god awful.

in All honesty, MW3 will sell more than BF3, because it shares the same winning success halo shares, which is advertisement.

mw2 will sell more, but bf3 will be the better game by far.

Banzai charges were only used by the most determined troops when defeat was inevitable.  Otherwise they'd surrender or the marines would blast and corkscrew them out of their caves.  Jungle warfare was a mess.

CoD and Battlefield are apples and oranges.  CoD is great for those times when you just want to crack some skulls.  Battlefield is much tougher, but if you get together there can be some utterly hilarious moments (4 people in an IFV, 'nuff said).  Along with that, you can have those epic moments like a 600 meter headshot with 50 caliber sniper rifle, or having some buddies give you on demand CAS with a UAV or helicopter.

However, CoD gives you more room to mess around (dual wielding shotguns with a crossbow that shoots explosive bolts, anyone) and has a greater 'fun' factor than many other games.  The stupid stuff you can do (mowing people down out of a helicopter using a minigun) makes it all worth it.  That isn't to say that you can't do awesome stuff in battlefield, either.

Gloating Story Begins Here
It was Rush on Atacama Desert in BFBC2, and I had just unlocked the USAS-12 (a full-auto shotgun).  I grabbed the 'Assault' kit with six bricks of upgraded C4 and hopped in a helicopter.  I flew over to the first base, parachuted out, blew a guy away.  Then I shot another one, reloaded, and threw my C4 on the M-COM station.  Another guy came, so I hurled a grenade over the top, ran to cover, and detonated my C4.  300+ points with the push of a button.

These two games do two different things, and are amazing in their own right.  I will most certainly buy MW3 for the PS3 and BF3 for the PC, to get the most out of each platform and game.

Only way i would ever play BFBC3 is on PC, well as a matter of fact thats the only way i play FPS games, i Use my PS3 just for GT5, couple other racing games and the BluRay player.

That's where the fun is, though.  CoD isn't supposed to be realistic, it's supposed to be wild and crazy!  Have you ever wondered why Treyarch put in Nuketown and Firing Range?  It's because those maps create a constant supply of action.  WMD is awesome for SnD, the amount of space makes the tension almost unbearable.

those maps are also the most whined about by the COD community.

like i said, COD is easy mode fps, anyone can pick it up& immediately start to play it. it takes little to no skill to play, just the standard knowledge of "point shoot reload repeat".

most cod ppl hate battlefield because it requires them to use not only that knowledge, but to think up tactics, strategies, and other things cod lacks.

kotaku had some leaked gameplay footage of mw3 out for 2 days before it got shut down, its nothing special.

COD is nothing but the same crap repackaged each year. The only reason is sells like it does is because

1. Advertisement.

2. its the easiest fps to play. it takes very little skill to learn so even the "casual" gamer can get into it.


ive stoped buying any activision game after what they did to infinity ward.

well yes, infinity ward is the name of the group working on the MW versions of COD. but thats not the original IW team that made modern warefare 1/2. half of that team left activision over an ugly incident and joined with EA to form there own group (i believe they call themselves martyrdom now).

the IW team now, is the team that worked on warhammer 4,000 i believe. ether way activision is a money pig. who charges $15 for dlc content thats only worth about $5-$10.  if Activision buys take-two, i will cry. because rockstar is a part of take-two. and rockstar is one of the very few game creators left who actually take pride in what they make (grand theft auto, red dead redemption, etc).

if activision was to take it over, they would create half of a game, then release the other half as DLC and charger $15-$20 extra so you could play the full game.


a clear sign of this is the fact that the original Infinity ward team wanted to give up on call of duty after 2, they didnt want the modern warfare series to be a part of the cod triligy. they merely wanted it to be called "modern warfare".

but activision made them slap the COD name on there and threatened to not publish the game if they didnt. because activision knows anything with COD slapped on its name sells. and then procded to advertise the crap out of it.

I have had fun on both comparable games, MW2 is fun, so is BFBC2

It is just a different style of game where as MW2 is more like an arcade game, BFBC2 is realistic. BFBC2's graphics destroy any other game I have ever played and I can't wait for their new one to come out this fall.

Comparing BF3 to CoD is like comparing the pilots in AH who fly spits to the ones who fly anything else. BF3 is a bit more complex, while CoD is a bit more rambo style and gamey as well.

In the end they're both first person shooters, and I plan on getting both.

All my friends are on COD so I would most likely play that, however BF is a much better game.  I just can't get into consoles anymore.
