Welcome to reality CAP.  Ignoring certain people is a gold medal of WIN on this forum!  :aok

Well, for folks who read the forums and don't want to view the posts of specific users it's a fantastic option.  Go to "Personal Preferences" and then when it talks about ignoring certain members PM's it also (without saying it, sad to say) allows you to ignore certain member's forum posts as well.  Put the persons forums ID on the list and viola...you no longer have to see that person's posts...at all...it says.."You are ignoring this person's post", and that's all she wrote.  No more having to sift through brain damage.  They can post all they want and you won't have to see ANY of it!

It's by FAR the best option on the entire forum!   :aok

BTW:  ON topic--I still have yet to see what a "Turny" is.  Can't wait to learn that one.

nonono......i knew i could opt to ignore someone on here.

my disbelief is in the fact that anyone would take the time to go and do that.

even someone that constantly pisses me off will never go on ignore, as there's ALWAYS the possibility that they may type something funny/entertaining/informative.
then there's the fact that.....well.........how in the world does one let someone sitting at their computer probably thousands of miles away actually piss someone off so bad that that someone feels so hurt or pissed that they feel the need to click an ignore button/?

 i don't get it.......

I could understand ignoring certain people on this forum.  But Ink isn't one of those.  WHil he is very opinionated on the forum he has the right to do so.  I have have the pleasure of flying with him in FSO and the displeasure of being a baby seal for him.  He is a stand up guy in my book.

there are a few people on the bbs that i'd like to meet someday. ink is one of those. i kinda like his style.......seems to me that you're gonna hear the truth from him, even if it hurts your feelings.......i like people like that.

That's always been pretty much how I have viewed the ignore feature on the BBS...  Now, ignoring somebody "in game" is another story entirely...

even in the game i try not to.

case in point......i was deciding that i was pissed off at a certain player. his 200 crap was getting under my skin(my own fault for letting it), and i basically thought he was a dick.
i happened to mention one thing to this guy.......as he was getting ready to log off. next thing i knew, he was spending nearly an hour helping me, and giving me pointers.
can't fault someone like that, and that's part of why i try not to ignore anyone in the game.

i've made those mistakes in the past.........

The folks that usually get squelched by me "in game" are the ones who feel the need to type something about everything they do or think.  It gets tiresome.

Alright already! I'll fly in the blasted Dueling Tourney! I will fight as valiantly as I can in the 2 turns I won't be a flaming tumbling twisted heap of iron.  :salute

What altitudes would you consider historic?  Just curious since they seemed to go from way up high, to right on the deck depending on when and where the fight took place.

Merge ALT is 10K, unless that was revised in a later post in the thread.

- All merges will be co-alt at 10K until within icon range at which point a merge break can begin.  In addition all players shall observe a 10K ceiling and floor (within reason) at all times prior to the merge.
